Students and Staff congratulate Julio Chang on being accepted into EVA Air.

Message from Julio: I would like to thank you all for being a big part of my childhood dream realisation. I've not only become a pilot but also a better and more responsible person. I flew with the best, learned from the most experienced - thank you all for helping me see the best in me. Thank you, Thank you and .... THANK YOU.

This is another fantastic piece of news for our group of great Taiwanese students. AWA will continue to work closely with the airlines and prepare cadets for their commercial career.

Australian Wings Academy is proud to be training Air Asia Cadets

Students recently welcomed the opportunity to meet Senior Qantas Captain Perry McNeil who visited the academy to talk about aviation and having a career in the airlines. The presentation was much appreciated by everyone.

Student Feedback:
Yesterday on my flight to Oman I asked the pilot if I could visit the cockpit and he agreed and I was there for the landing as well. The purpose of this mail is to tell you how absolutely thrilled I was to see that the procedures and briefs and plates and methods used in there was exactly like how AWA trains us during our instrument rating. When I asked the captain he said he wasn't trained to use the approach plates or to do the approaches even during his commercial training and he got trained for all that in his training with the airline only.
I thought it was pretty awesome and just wanted to share it with you - Regards Bindiya Paul (April 2010)
