DYNAMIC TRAINING METHODS
Course Management
AWA has the skill and expertise to manage the course from start to finish with proficiency checks to ensure students are progressing satisfactorily. Should a student fail to meet the required standard at each check, a review will be undertaken by a senior instructor and remedial training prescribed. The student will be reassessed following the remedial training and may proceed once performance is satisfactory.

-
It is linked to our accounting system for financial records keeping
Screening
AWA uses a Simple IQ test and a very simple "hand-eye-coordination" exercise in a synthetic flight trainer. Results so far indicate that applicants passing the screening program have a greater than 85% probability of completing the course on schedule.
Instructor Student Ratio
AWA has a policy of having a low student to instructor ratio. This ensures that students receive close, personal attention.
Airline Environment
Australian Wings Academy is focused on and geared towards training professional pilots ready for airline employment. AWA creates the airline environment, which is critical to a smooth transition from Ab-initio to the right hand seat. This is not just a cosmetic exercise in wearing a uniform; it is a procedural and cultural process. Students are introduced to a Student Handbook. The cockpit is run as a 2 crew operation using airline style callouts. Later in the course students are introduced to computerised flight plans. These goals and policies are achieved as the school has experienced airline professionals in the management team.

Instructors
Our Chief Flight Instructor holds a complete range of test approvals so all training and testing is done in-house. AWA knows the standards demanded by the airline client and enforces them at all times.
AWA employs flight instructors that have been trained by us or meet our exacting standards. All instructors undergo significant standardisation training and regular monitoring.
